ECC BPA members attend National Leadership Conference

Eight members of the ECC Business Professionals of America Club attended the 2017 National BPA Leadership Conference at the Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida May 10-14. Members competed against 5,800 students from across the United States and Puerto Rico to showcase their business skills and develop their leadership abilities. Students who competed at the National Conference, first qualified on the state level in February.
The National Leadership Conference is a culmination of the hard work and effort put in by members throughout the year. It brings students from across the country together to participate, network and compete. Activities included general sessions with keynote speakers, business meetings, leadership workshops, contests, election of national officers, and tours of Orlando and Central Florida sights and attractions! The highlights of the conference included a day-long Service Palooza volunteer event, leadership development workshops and the presentation of the awards to the winners of the national contests.

Trevor Smith: 1st Place Plaque – Business Meeting & Management Concepts; Top 10 Medal – Banking and Finance; Top 10 Medal – Personal Financial Management Concepts; Top 10 Medal – Advanced Spreadsheet Applications.
Kelbey Barbadillo: 3rd Place Plaque – Interview Skills; Top 10 Medal – Human Resource Management; Top 10 Medal – Business Law & Ethics.
Mette Ehrhardt: Top 10 Medal – Advanced Interview Skills
Erica Corrigan: Top 10 Medal – Medical Office Procedures
