Guest speaker, Jason LeVasseur, incorporated playing music with an interactive and motivational speech about looking at opportunities life gives you as a way to grow. Students attended a hypnotist show, college planning session along with two career interest sessions that allowed them to speak with professionals in 15 different career fields. These career fields included nursing/medical assistant, education, psychology, history, criminal justice, mass communications, art/graphic design, conservation/wildlife, STEM, military, PE/sports management, marketing, athletic training and agriculture.

“Career day is a great opportunity for potential students to visit campus and learn the steps they need to take to prepare for their future,” said Adriane Sietsema, Director of Admissions at Ellsworth Community College. “Giving the students an opportunity to meet with professionals in various career fields then speak with advisors allows them to have a better understanding of what their college experience will look like and things they can do to prepare for college.”
