Ellsworth Community College’s Horse Judging Team placed 5th overall at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH on October 17. The team competed with 65 teams from across the nation. The team also placed 5th in performance, 4th in halter and 5th in reasons.

“I am so proud of this team and all of the hard work they have put into practicing to prepare for this contest,” said Megan Humphrey, ECC Equine Faculty and Horse Judging coach. “I love how passionate they are about horse judging and wanting to learn more. It is an excellent feeling seeing these young ladies accomplish so much at this prestigious national contest.”

AAQHC is the largest single breed horse show and judging contest in the nation. The team judged 12 classes and gave 5 sets of reasons. They will be competing at the National Reining Horse Association Futurity Horse Judging Contest in Oklahoma City, OK at the end of November.
