Two ECC students named to All-Iowa Academic Team

Ellsworth Community College students Sara Qualley and Emily Timmerman were inducted to Phi Theta Kappa’s 2019 All-Iowa Academic Team at a banquet in Des Moines on March 4, 2019. The top Iowa community college students are nominated each year by the Phi Theta Kappa chapter at each campus.

Sara Qualley, is a Sophomore from Iowa Falls majoring in Journalism at ECC. She has been on the Dean’s List each semester she has attended ECC and is the reciepient of the Coca-Cola Leader of Promise Scholarship. After grauduating from ECC she plans to transfer to the Univeristy of Northern Iowa.

Emily Timmerman is a Sophomore from Eldora majoring in Psychology at ECC. She has been on the Dean’s List each semester she has attended ECC and is a member of the Social and Behavioral Science Club. After graduating from ECC, she plans to attend Iowa State University.

Both honorees were joined by Martin Reimer, Ellsworth Provost, Amanda Estey, ECC Dean of Academic Affairs, and Joerg Rochlitzer, Ellsworth Faculty.
