Ellsworth STEM registrations now open

STEM Iowa Falls 2019Registrations are now being accepted for the Iowa Falls STEM Camp being offered by Ellsworth Community College, July 29 – Aug. 1. The camp meets Monday through Thursday in the Math/Science building on the ECC campus. There are two classes offered during the four days, one from 5:00 to 6:15 pm and the other from 6:30 to 7:45 pm for students who are entering grades 3-11.

Kids can attend one or both of those classes; each class is $30. Class topics vary by grade, and include Tiny Critters, Exploring Chemistry, 3D Printing, STEM Crafts, Biology Blitz in Iowa’s Habitats (The first night the Biology Blitz class will meet at Math/Science building and then Calkins Nature Center the remaining dates) and 911 Emergency. Parents and kids can review the class options on the website at https://ce.iavalley.edu/take-a-class/summer-youth-programs/ and then parents complete the online registration and payment process.

The cost of each class includes program supplies, t-shirt and a snack. If a child attends both classes (5:00-6:15 pm and 6:30-7:45 pm) the cost is $60. Register online at IowaValley.com; click on Take a Class > Summer Youth Programs and follow the instructions. If you do not already have an online account with Iowa Valley, you can set one up and then register/pay online. Please be sure to register using your child’s name not the parents name.
