The group provides tours of the Nature Area and Interpretive Center for visitors, and holds an annual Halloween nature walk and a Christmas celebration. It teams with Alliant Energy and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for Operation ReLeaf to provide area residents an opportunity to buy high quality landscape trees at a reduced price. In addition to its annual membership drive, the group also holds a yearly chili/soup supper to raise funds.
Pat Clark Art Collection/PCAC
Ellsworth Community College students benefit directly from the gift of the Pat Clark Art Collection. The Ellsworth College Foundation offers approximately $6,000 for workshops/scholarships for students who are interested in becoming involved in all phases of the collection. The faculty, staff and student body also use the collection to attract attention and students to their community college; the collection is used extensively by the Ellsworth Art Department for instructional purposes.
