Become an ECC Student Ambassador

The ECC Student Ambassador Program is always looking for respectable, qualified students to assist the Admissions Office. ECC Ambassadors are an elite group of students carefully chosen to represent diverse degree programs, athletic involvements, and club/organization memberships. Ambassadors serve the College by supporting the recruiting efforts and routine affairs of the Admissions Office and other administrative offices as requested. The Ambassador program is scholarship-based; students can earn up to $1,000 a year.


  1. Education: Ambassadors must be enrolled as full-time students at ECC.
  2. Experience: Preference is given to those best qualified to work in a customer service environment.
  3. Academics: Ambassadors must maintain regular class attendance and a minimum 2.50 GPA.
  4. Abilities:
    • Able to work in an environment of shifting priorities, frequent interruptions, hectic pace, and interaction with students, staff, and/or the public.
    • Working knowledge of computer software programs, which may include Word and Excel.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proficiency in business English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
    • Able to work independently and be a team player in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
    • Enthusiastic desire to demonstrate ECC school spirit.

Meet the ECC Ambassadors

Emma Bailey, Webster City, IA

Emma is a sophomore AgriBusiness major, is on student senate, and is a member of the Ag Club.  She chose ECC because of the amazing Ag program.  Emma thinks the best things about ECC are the small setting, class sizes, and welcoming staff.  Emma plans to work as an Ag Marketing and Communications professional upon graduation.

Brody Bittle

Brody Bittle, Winona, MN

Brody is a sophomore studying education. He’s on the Panther baseball team and plans to become a elementary teacher. He chose Ellsworth because of it’s small town vibe and friendly staff.  Brody’s favorite thing about Ellsworth are the friendships he’s created with other students and staff.

Gabi Damian, Iowa Falls, IA

Gabi is a Liberal Arts major who chose ECC because it is close to home and she gets to be more than just a number.  She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and is on the volleyball team.  Gabi says she likes the small campus and the relationships you are able to build and appreciates the homey, welcoming feeling from everyone at ECC.

Morgan Dutka, Nora Springs, IA

Morgan is a freshman nursing student.  She chose ECC because the LPN is the second in the state and because of how welcoming everyone is.  She appreciates how close everything is and that faculty and staff are so helpful.  Morgan plans to get her RN and work as an OB/Labor & Delivery nurse.

Marissane Hanson, Zearing, IA

Marissane is a sophomore majoring in Nursing and is involved in the Phi Theta Kappa honors society. She chose ECC because of its ranking as the 2nd best Practical Nursing program in Iowa, and she likes the small hometown feel of the campus.  She likes the student to teacher ratio and the family feeling in the classroom.  She plans to continue at ECC in the Associate Degree in Nursing program.

Kate Kohart, Eldora, IA

Kate is a freshman studying business and plans to get involved with Phi Theta Kappa.  She chose ECC because it is close to home and likes the friendly environment and small class sizes.  Kate plans to transfer to Iowa State to pursue her bachelor’s degree in business.

Megan Larsen, Sumner, IA

Megan is a sophomore studying social work and is involved with TRIO SSS, Phi Theta Kappa, and Cheer & Dance. She chose ECC because people were so welcoming and it felt like home. Her favorite thing about ECC is the small class size that allow for individual attention from professors and the campus that is so beautiful, especially during the fall! Megan plans to continue her education by transferring to UNI.

Sam Seedorff, Janesville, IA

Sam is a sophomore majoring in Liberal Arts.  In addition to being a student ambassador, Sam is a part of the TRIO SSS program.  He chose ECC because of the small class sizes and friendly people. Sam’s favorite thing about Ellsworth are all the opportunities to be involved on campus.  After graduation, Sam plans to transfer to UNI to pursue a business degree.

Meghan VanDePol, Radcliffe, IA

Megan is a freshman studying elementary education.  She also plays on the volleyball team.  Megan chose ECC because it is close to home and classes are meeting face to face this fall.  The thing she likes best ECC is about how close everything is on campus.  She hopes to teach younger elementary students.

Thaddeus “TJ” Wiley, Las Vegas, NV

TJ is a sophomore studying business and is a member of the Panther football team.  He chose ECC because of the football program and loves how much the teachers care about students’ futures.  TJ plans to transfer to a 4-year school to continue his education and participate in collegiate athletics.
