Become an ECC Student Ambassador

The ECC Student Ambassador Program is always looking for respectable, qualified students to assist the Admissions Office. ECC Ambassadors are an elite group of students carefully chosen to represent diverse degree programs, athletic involvements, and club/organization memberships. Ambassadors serve the College by supporting the recruiting efforts and routine affairs of the Admissions Office and other administrative offices as requested. The Ambassador program is scholarship-based; students can earn up to $1,000 a year.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Ambassadors must be enrolled as full-time students at ECC.
  2. Experience: Preference is given to those best qualified to work in a customer service environment.
  3. Academics: Ambassadors must maintain regular class attendance and a minimum 2.50 GPA.
  4. Abilities:
    • Able to work in an environment of shifting priorities, frequent interruptions, hectic pace, and interaction with students, staff, and/or the public.
    • Working knowledge of computer software programs, which may include Word and Excel.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proficiency in business English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
    • Able to work independently and be a team player in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
    • Enthusiastic desire to demonstrate ECC school spirit.

Brody Bittle

Brody Bittle, Winona, MN

Brody is a freshman. He’s on the Panther baseball team and plans to become a Teacher. He chose Ellsworth because of it’s location in a smaller community, and his favorite thing about the college is the people … “everyone wants you to succeed.”

Kendra Boles

Kendra Boles, Murray, IA

Kendra is a freshman majoring in Equine Management/Equine Science. She plans to participate on the Horse Judging Team and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. She chose Ellsworth because of the small-town location and the renowned Equine programs ranked #2 in the nation.

Bailee Fogle

Bailee Fogle, New Sharon, IA

Bailee is a sophomore majoring in Liberal Arts with an interest in Business Administration. She is captain of the cheer and dance team, a member of Business Professionals of America, and public relations officer for Phi Theta Kappa. She chose Ellsworth because of the friendly staff and students. Bailey says ECC is fun because you get to connect with many of the students on campus while participating in different activities.

Marissane Hanson, Zearing, IA

Marissane is a freshman majoring in Nursing and plans to join PTK. She chose ECC because of its ranking as the 2nd best Practical Nursing program in Iowa, and she likes the small hometown feel of the campus!

Megan Larsen

Megan Larsen, Sumner, IA

Megan is a freshman majoring in Liberal Arts. She chose ECC because people were so welcoming and it felt like home. Her favorite thing about ECC is the friendliness of faculty and staff

Brooke Leiran, Waukon, IA

Justin Maynard, Dania Beach, FL

Justin is a freshman who plans to go into Dentistry or Dental Hygiene; he’s a member of the wrestling team. He chose Ellsworth for the opportunity to play wrestle and for the support of the TRIO program

Laikyn Miller

Laikyn Miller, Parkersburg, IA

Laikyn is a sophomore majoring in Liberal Arts; she is a member of the women’s basketball team and Phi Theta Kappa. She plans to transfer to UNI next year to study Biology.

Mackenzie Pritchett

Mackenzie Pritchett, Grandview, MO

Mackenzie is a freshman interested in Psychology; she wants to be a Psychologist or Counselor. She’s involved in volleyball and Student Senate; she chose ECC because she loves the campus and gets lots of energy from the teachers and other students.

Sam Seedorff

Sam Seedorff, Janesville, IA

Sam is a freshman majoring in Liberal Arts, and he is in the TRIO program. He chose ECC because he wanted a small school experience, and his favorite thing about the college is the students and staff.
