ECC students compete at BPA Nationals

Ellsworth Community College students Crosley Ryan of Eldora and Mette Ehrhardt of Iowa Falls participated in national competition against more than 5,500 other students at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) national leadership conference in Boston, MA, earlier this month. Ryan earned two medals for being a Top 8 finisher in the Post-Secondary Advanced Spreadsheet Applications and Intermediate Word Processing competitions. Ehrhardt competed in the Interview Skills and Human Resource Management contests.

In addition to the competitions, activities included general sessions with keynote speakers, business meetings, leadership workshops, election of national officers, and tours of Boston attractions. The ECC students were accompanied to the national conference by BPA Advisors Janet Siert and Tina Ruch-Wesselmann.

Business Professionals of America is the leading career-technical student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and related career fields.
