Automotive Technology
Hands-On Training for a One-Year Diploma or Two-Year Degree
Automotive Technology at Iowa Valley Grinnell trains you to diagnose and repair modern vehicles, from engine and electrical systems to computer-controlled diagnostics. Choose the one-year Practitioner Diploma for industry support roles, or the two-year AAS degree, which builds towards ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification and dealership or independent shop technician roles.
Training takes place in IVG's on-campus automotive lab, working on real vehicles — the kind of hands-on repair experience employers look for before you even graduate.
