Every organization depends on people who can install, secure, and troubleshoot computer networks — and who can explain what's wrong in plain language to people who aren't technical. MCC's Computer Network Management & Technology program trains you for both sides of that job in a dedicated hands-on networking lab, with coursework built around Cisco's CCNA certification path.
 
Choose the path that fits where you're starting: the AAS degree if you're new to the field, or the practitioner diploma if you already have a related degree or are working in IT and want to update your skills.
 
  • Computer Network Management & Technology, AAS Degree (MVCNM) — 64 credit hours. Covers CCNA-track networking (Cisco 1–3), Windows Server, network security, scripting/automation, virtualization and cloud, and cybersecurity management. For students starting from the beginning.
  • Computer Network Management & Technology Practitioner Diploma (MVCNP) — 31 credit hours. Designed for people who already hold a related degree or work in computer technology and want to update their skill set — covers the same core CCNA and networking coursework in a shorter format.

FAQs

What's the difference between the AAS degree and the practitioner diploma?

The AAS is for students starting from scratch — it includes general education alongside the technical coursework. The practitioner diploma is a shorter, technical-only path built for people who already have a related degree or are currently working in IT and want to update their skills.
 

What certifications does this program prepare me for?

Coursework follows Cisco's CCNA certification path (Cisco 1–3), along with Windows Server administration, network security, and cybersecurity management.
