Join us for Ellsworth Community College’s 2026 theater production, A Rock Sails By.
Performances will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 pm in the newly renovated Hamilton Auditorium, located in Kruse Main Hall on the ECC campus (1100 College Ave., Iowa Falls, IA).
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance by contacting Theater Director Michael Rottink at Michael.Rottink@iavalley.edu or 641-648-8637. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.

Time: Present Day
Place: A university town. A desert research facility.
Summary: Astrophysicist Dr. Lynn Cummings has always believed in science over faith in the unknown. But now that her life is changing, the certainty that was once a source of comfort has become a source of emptiness. When an unidentified flying object is sighted heading toward Earth, she grants an interview to a journalist who misquotes her. With her credibility on the line, she invites her to witness the object as it comes closest to the Earth with her. Dr. Cummings hopes it will pass without incident, but there is no telling what she will discover beyond the stars.
