Diversity Welcome

At Ellsworth, we have a rich tradition of welcoming students from around the world. Each international student makes our campus a more vibrant place, culturally and educationally.

We're committed to providing a welcoming, supportive environment for our international students, including advisors and staff who work closely with you to ensure you receive a valuable, rewarding experience. Plus, our International Student Club offers the chance for all ECC students to get to know each other and learn about different cultures!

Ready to enroll?
Follow these steps!

1. COMPLETE OUR INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION
Fill out the International Application online. (Our International Application Fee is $110, which will cover postage and travel.)

2. SUBMIT THE SEVIS FEE
There's a mandatory SEVIS fee for all international applicants. Learn more here.

3. SEND US YOUR HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
Completion of high school or equivalent is required. Send us the original or a certified copy of your transcript from your previous high school, as well as an original or certified copy of your transcript for any colleges you’ve attended.

4. TRANSFERRING FROM ANOTHER U.S. COLLEGE?
If you are transferring from another institution in the United States, you'll need to complete and submit the ECC International School Transfer Form. Contact Craig Juilfs for a copy of the form!

5. SUBMIT YOUR FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Our Financial Statement Form (en Espanol) verifies your ability to meet all educational and living expenses that you will incur while attending ECC. On official bank stationery, we'll also need a statement from your bank stating that you have at least $11,924 (U.S. funds) in your account(s) to pay for one year of college.

6. SUBMIT PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE
Health insurance for international students is mandatory and will be administered through the college. The cost of your coverage will be itemized on your student billing statement.

7. SUBMIT YOUR HEALTH CERTIFICATE
Send us a health certificate stating that you have no communicable diseases. You'll also need to provide proof of vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) from a doctor.

8. SEND US YOUR PROOF OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
TOEFL or an equivalent English proficiency test is required for admission to ECC. Send your proof of English proficiency to the ECC Admissions Office. This list provides information about other English proficiency exams ECC accepts for admission purposes. If your English proficiency exam isn't on this list, contact the ECC Admissions Office before submitting your results.

9. LET US KNOW YOUR HOUSING PLANS
Planning to live on campus? Submit your application for student housing!

If you're not planning to live in student housing, just send us a letter from a sponsor or host family indicating what they will provide to you for living arrangements. You can also send us a letter from you, indicating you'll be renting an apartment or staying with a friend or family member off campus.

Medical Assisting and Nursing programs have additional admission requirements.
